Join me at Balkan Museum Network‘s International Conference “Meet, See, Do 2025” in Zagreb, in May 2025, at my workshop “LOOK, new professions and skills in museums!”

This workshop explores museum independence, censorship, and the role of digital technology in reshaping cultural institutions. The first part examines financial autonomy through diverse funding models, balancing sustainability with artistic freedom.

It also addresses censorship—beyond politics—highlighting its impact on cultural narratives and institutional integrity. The second part focuses on digital innovation. Technologies like VR, AR, and interactive storytelling can enhance accessibility, attract diverse audiences, and reduce dependence on state funding. Case studies from Romania, including public-private collaborations, will illustrate how digital strategies redefine museum engagement. Participants will gain insights into fostering independent, inclusive, and future-ready museums.
