In June 2020, online and alongside Calea Victoriei Foundation, I am going to teach “An introduction to Contemporary Arts” (Romanian only).
The course will be held from Monday to Friday (22nd- 26th June 2020), starting at 6pm. Each course is live and lasts for 2 hours. The minimum age required is +18 . You can find all the information here.
The topics by day are:
- Day 1. Modern artists: Nadar, Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Suzanne Valadon, Paul Gauguin, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse.
- Day 2. Artistic experiments. New symbols, new colors, new forms: Joan Miro, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Marcel Duchamp, Marcel Iancu, Tristan Tzara, Salvador Dali
- Day 3. American Pop-Art. The consummerism of Art: Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Tamara Lempicka, Takashi Murakami.
- Day 4. Happenings as art forms. The body as an art expression: ORLAN, Marina Abramovic, Joseph Beuys, Robert Mapplethorpe.
- Day 5. The constant change in Contemporary Art: Yayoi Kusama, Gerhard Richter, Jeff Koons, Maurizio Cattelan, Banksy, Adrian Ghenie, Paul Hitter, Răzvan Boar, Ciprian Mureşan, Mircea Cantor.
