In September 2020, online and alongside Calea Victoriei Foundation, I am going to teach “An introduction to Contemporary Arts” (Romanian only) 5 part course.
The course will be held every friday from 25th September, starting at 7 pm. Each course is live and lasts for 2 hours. The minimum age required is +18 . You can find all the information here.
The topics are:
- 25 september 2020. Modern artists: Nadar, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Paul Cezanne, Suzanne Valadon, Maurice Utrillo, Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, Vincent Van Gogh.
- 2 October 2020. Artistic experiments. New symbols, new colors, new forms: Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Theodor Pallady, Edvard Munch, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Marcel Duchamp, Salvador Dali, Joan Miró.
- 9 October 2020. The consumption of Art: Edward Hopper, Grant Wood, Norman Rockwell, Tamara Lempicka, Georgia O’Keeffe, George Rodrigue. Abstract Expressionism: Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko. Pop- Art: David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein. Neo-pop-art: Takashi Murakami
- 16 October 2020. Happenings as art forms. The body as an art expression: Tehching (Sam) Hsieh, ORLAN, Marina Abramovic, Joseph Beuys, Robert Mapplethorpe.
- 23 October 2020. The constant change in Contemporary Art: Yayoi Kusama, Gerhard Richter, Jeff Koons, Maurizio Cattelan, Banksy, Adrian Ghenie, Răzvan Boar, Ciprian Mureşan, Mircea Cantor.
